Does the world need another blog? Probably not. My name is Dan and I’ve been hesitant to enter this space. Conversations with friends, stirrings in my soul, and the relative ease with which a page like this can be created have caused me to give it a shot.
I’ve debated at length (with myself and occasionally others) about my motivations, goals, and even justifications for taking up internet real estate. To be entirely honest my deliberations were inconclusive. I’ve desired a place to process my own thoughts and have them shaped, refined, and strengthened by others. I’m fueled by conversations that matter with people who enjoy thinking deeply even when we don’t agree. It is because of all of this that I decided to err on the side of engaging and doing something, as opposed to passively abstaining.
Over the next few months I hope to lean into this experiment – and more than having any of you hear from me I’d love to hear from you. My goal for this platform is that it would be place where multiple people contribute – both as authors of content and partners in the dialogue that will hopefully ensue.
