All of us are becoming – it is an inescapable eventuality. We become sculptures, portraits, and monuments to tell the stories of our existence. Becoming is also a perpetuity – commencing with our first breath and unrelenting till our last. Too often we fall prey to the myth that becoming ceases and we believe the lie that we have become all we will ever be. It is in this moment that we lose something; we lose the awareness of this perpetual becoming; we lose the beauty, the pain, and the lessons contained therein; we lose the ability to know ourselves and share that self with others.
We can take an active role in this process or we can allow it to be done to us or for us. The conversations in this forum are meant to spur us to engage our own perpetual becoming and to recognize, celebrate, and learn from it in others. What are you becoming?
